- Gallery of Unicode Fonts, a link directory for downloadable non-Roman fonts.
- WWWJDIC, an online Japanese dictionary.
Web Design
- Safe web fonts, a discussion by Jacob Morzinski.
- List of character entities in HTML, for quick look-up of all those
&whatever;symbols. - decodeunicode, a searchable wiki for Unicode characters.
- slayeroffice, which has a Javascript-based Unicode Hex Lookup. It also has the Mouseover DOM Inspector, extremely useful when you’re trying to figure out what’s going on with a webpage’s CSS.
- Mozilla Developer Centre, which features documentation for various mark-up and scripting languages.
- A List Apart, a magazine “for people who make websites”. Invaluable resource.
- QuirksMode, which “contains about 120 pages with CSS and JavaScript tips and tricks, and is one of the best sources on the WWW for studying and defeating browser incompatibilities.”
- How To Create, another website with HTML, CSS and JavaScript tutorials with compatability in mind.
